TYLER, Texas (ChurchMilitant.com) – Catholic men in Tyler, Texas, are getting really serious about their commitment to being Christian men and fathers under the patronage of St. Joseph.
They invite men everywhere to join them for the “Terror of Demons” Men’s Conference on Oct. 28. The all-day, in-person conference will take place at Bishop Gorman High School in Smith County from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. local time.
Brandon Trichel, one of the organizers, explained how the Tyler men arrived at the name of their conference. He tells Church Militant,
The laymen of the diocese leaned on Bp. Strickland to get his guidance as to the theme, and being the time of year [Halloween], who better to fight the demonic activity than the Terror of Demons himself, Saint Joseph. So, with Bishop Strickland’s guidance and the wisdom of the Saints, we decided to theme this conference, the Terror of Demons.
Tyler’s Bp. Joseph Strickland, who will be one of the speakers, is encouraging as many men as possible to participate. In a YouTube video, he says,
Brothers, sons, fathers, men of God, we are in a spiritual battle beyond our imagination, but we have the strength of the Lord and we have St. Joseph, Terror of Demons, along with us guiding us [and] the light of Christ cheering us on. We never fear. We know the Lord.
The organizers of the event explain this is a no-holds-barred conference, spiritually speaking. They add: “Whether you realize it or not, we are fighting a daily battle against demonic forces that desire the destruction of our soul and those of our families. It’s time to take the fight to them.”
One of the organizers said the conference will address the barefaced evils attacking families nowadays, including demonic possession and child trafficking, and provide ways to deal with spiritual attacks.
He told Church Militant, “We’ll have some amazing speakers from all over the country who will help us to recognize how the forces of darkness are assaulting our families. They will give attendees the spiritual tools … to overcome the attacks and send them back where they came from.”

Jeremy Rivera, former Protestant pastor turned Catholic evangelist
Adam Blai, diocese of Pittsburgh, a consultant on demonology and exorcism
Joe McClane, author, radio show host and “on-fire” evangelist, and
Adam Minihan and David Niles, hosts of The Catholic Man Show.
As a parting shot, the organizers make this final appeal to attend:
Men, this is the most important challenge we will ever face. There is only one goal that matters: to get ourselves and our loved ones to heaven; to become saints. Join us at our conference on October 28th, and strike fear into the hearts of the enemy. St. Joseph, Terror of Demons, stay with us!
Those who want to attend can register online or in person beginning at 7:15 a.m. at the venue. Holy Mass will be offered locally at 4 p.m.
