2023 Christmas Appeal: We’re Already Behind! — By: OnePeterFive

Last week I appealed to you to help us raise the $60,000 we need for this Christmas season, one of two times each year when we invite the financial support of our loyal readers to help us cover our expenses.

I’m sorry to report we did not come close to raising that amount.

There are a lot of reasons that may be the case. But I cannot imagine it’s because you don’t value what we’re doing here.

Therefore, I humbly ask you to support us today, because our need is genuine. You have shown us with your appreciation, your readership, and your past support that you are passionate about the things we are passionate about.

We are promoting a traditional evaluation of the false spirit of Vatican I, a scholastic analysis of the 60-year-old Vatican II, and a charitable but truthful critique of the current Vatican. But we also publish devotional and cultural material – which is really the soul of our organization – especially in our lay sodality centered on the Blessed Sacrament.

Our priorities are your priorities.

Rest assured that we operate OnePeterFive on a shoestring budget. We pay our writers and we pay the various services needed to keep the website running. I earn a modest salary. And that’s pretty much it. So we don’t need millions or even hundreds of thousands of dollars. We just need to raise $60,000 twice per year to provide the quality content you look for on OnePeterFive each day.

Please don’t wait. Please make a tax-deductible gift to OnePeterFive today.

All gifts are needed, from the largest – $10,000 will fund us for an entire month – to the smallest – be it $100, $50 or even $25.

We are doing the work of describing and defending the beautiful traditions, the holy practices of the Faith, with positive impact around the world.

Please support OnePeterFive today. In this time of intense pressure if not outright persecution, the truth needs to be spoken with boldness now more than ever.

Thank you for your support.

Sincerely in Christ,

Timothy Flanders

P.S. I am not a natural fundraiser. Begging people for financial assistance a few times twice annually is not my favorite activity, to say the least. But I love this work and am called to it, so I must.

P.P.S. And as the Good Book says, “Yet if he shall continue knocking, I say to you, although he will not rise and give him because he is his friend; yet, because of his importunity, he will rise, and give him as many as he needeth” (Luke 11:8).
