PHILADELPHIA (ChurchMilitant.com) – A left-wing journalist and activist who was allegedly killed by a 19-year-old has been accused of having molested the teenager since he was 15.

Robert Davis, who is accused of killing 39-year-old Josh Kruger, reportedly revealed on the phone to his family on Friday that he had been in a sexual relationship with the Philadelphia writer.
The Philadelphia Inquirer reported that, according to the family, “Davis was just 15 when he and Kruger began a years-long relationship involving drugs — and that Davis told them Kruger was threatening to post sexually explicit videos of him online.”
Kruger was shot seven times early in the morning at his home on Oct. 2. Davis’ whereabouts remain unknown.
Davis’ family claimed the teen revealed to them in a Friday phone call that he had been seeing Kruger. Damica Davis stated, “We’ve only had pieces of everything. We could never put the pieces together, and now everything is coming out and we see what’s going on.”

The Inquirer’s report detailed that
Davis sometimes returned home with expensive gifts, such as designer belts and Gucci pants … and would tell his family the woman [at the Office of Homeless Services] bought them for him. He’d sometimes stay out until early morning … and return under the influence of drugs. [The family] found needles, pills, and other drug paraphernalia in his pockets, and believe[s] he became addicted to meth.
Originally, police had described the two as “acquaintances” and claimed that Kruger “was trying to help [Davis] get through life.”
Kruger — a gay man with HIV — reportedly had been homeless in the past, involved in “sex work,” and used drugs.
In July 2018, Kruger posted, “The centuries old smear that gay men are pedophiles is getting new life thanks to coordination between far right news sites and far right message boards. This egregious defamation is part of a strategy to target LGBTQ people with violence.”
